Everything you need to know about PexesoLab. From basic tutorials to answers to the most frequently asked questions.
- Upload images: Click on the "Drag images here" area or click to select files from your computer. We support JPG, PNG, and GIF formats.
- Set card size: Use the slider to set card size (we recommend 6-8 cm for optimal printing size).
- Choose cutting guides: Enable guides if you want marked lines on the PDF for easier cutting.
- Check preview: In the right panel you'll see how your cards will look in the PDF.
- Generate PDF: Click the "Generate PDF" button and a print-ready file will automatically download.
- Print and cut: Open the PDF, print it, and cut out individual cards along the guides.
- High quality: Use images with at least 500x500 pixels resolution for sharp printing.
- Clear subjects: Choose images with distinct subjects - they're easier to remember.
- Contrasting colors: Images with good contrast are more visible.
- Square format: Square or nearly square images (1:1 aspect ratio) work best.
- Relevant theme: For children, use familiar objects, animals, or characters.
- No text: Images without text are more universal and suitable for all ages.
Tip: For children under 5, we recommend 6-8 card pairs. For older children and adults, you can use 12-20 pairs.
PDF Printing
- Use a color printer for best results
- Set print to "Actual size" or "100%" (not "Fit to page")
- Print on thicker paper (180-250 g/m²) for more durable cards
- Check preview before printing
Cutting
- Use sharp scissors or a paper cutter
- Cut precisely along guides for uniform cards
- For perfection, you can round corners using a corner rounder
Laminating (optional)
For longer durability, we recommend laminating the cards. Laminated cards are water-resistant, wear-resistant, and ideal for young children.
PexesoLab cards are a great tool for child development. Read our recommendations:
- Adjust pairs to age: Start younger children (3-5 years) with 6-8 pairs, older children can handle 12-20 pairs.
- Choose familiar images: Use images of things the child knows - animals, food, toys.
- Play together: Especially in first games, help children and explain the rules.
- Praise effort: Appreciate effort and progress, not just winning.
- Short game sessions: Children have shorter attention spans - 10-15 minutes is ideal.
- Themed sets: Create different sets (animals, colors, numbers) for variety.

Yes, PexesoLab is fully responsive and works on computers, tablets, and smartphones. However, for the best editing and PDF generation experience, we recommend using a computer or tablet.
No! No registration is required. Simply upload images and generate PDFs instantly.
There's no fixed limit. However, we recommend 6-20 images (12-40 cards) for optimal gameplay. Larger numbers of cards can be challenging, especially for younger children.
We support the most popular formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG, and GIF. For best print quality, we recommend using high-resolution images.
We recommend images with a minimum resolution of 500x500 pixels. Larger images (1000x1000 px and above) will have better print quality.
Standard size is 6-8 cm. For young children, we recommend 7-8 cm for easier handling. For advanced players, you can use smaller cards (5-6 cm).
No! All images are processed only in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server and nothing is stored. Your privacy is protected.
Yes! PexesoLab supports Slovak and English. The language only affects the app interface - your images can be in any language.
When printing the PDF, make sure to select 'Actual size' or '100% scale' in printer settings. If you choose 'Fit to page', the cards will be smaller than set.
Guides are thin lines around each card that help you cut cards precisely. You can toggle them on/off in settings.
You can use PexesoLab for free for personal and educational purposes (schools, kindergartens). For commercial use, please contact us.
Generation is very fast - usually 2-5 seconds depending on the number of cards and your device's performance.
Check if your browser is blocking automatic downloads. Allow pop-ups and downloads for PexesoLab. Also try a different browser (we recommend Chrome or Firefox).
PDF is a final output meant for printing. If you want to make changes, simply adjust settings or images in the app and generate a new PDF.
